An evening of memory, melody, and attitude
Klaus Hoffmann is one of the defining voices of the German-language chanson and singer-songwriter genre. Since his debut album in 1975, he has built an extensive body of work that includes over four dozen releases and is continually inspired by literature, theater, and the spirit of French chanson. His career combines acting, songwriting, and the intense interpretation of Jacques Brel, which has given him a unique artistic profile over the decades. Live atmosphere with emotional range
The program in Koblenz focuses on closeness rather than pathos: Hoffmann sings the songs from the new CD live, supplemented by older pieces and intertextual commentary that make the evening feel like a large, personal stage portrait. According to the organizers, the audience can expect a rollercoaster ride through the entire soul. This is precisely where the strength of this concert experience lies: in the blend of narrative depth, clear orchestration at the piano, and an audience mood that ranges from quiet concentration to prolonged applause. The sound of a mature artist
Hoffmann not only brings songs to the stage but also biography. The Berlin-born artist has been recognized for his acting work, including awards like the Golden Camera and the Bambi, while also remaining active as a chansonnier and author. This mixture of authority, experience, and musical precision also shapes his concerts: every song carries memory, every pause has weight, and every chorus opens space for new images.
