A fairy-tale family experience with courage, music, and children's laughter
Four unusual animals set out together: The family piece The Bremen Town Musicians brings the well-known fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm to the stage of the theater tent in Koblenz, adapted by Philipp Löhle. Families experience a child-friendly story about solidarity, courage, and the power of a strong community.
A fairy tale full of friendship and imagination
A donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster are united by a common fate. On their adventurous journey, they discover that every person and every animal possesses special abilities. The story invites children to reflect on friendship, self-confidence, and mutual support.
Theater for children aged five and up
The Koblenz Theater recommends the family piece for children aged 5 and up. The age-appropriate production opens up a playful learning experience: Children follow an exciting plot, encounter strong characters, and experience how individual outcasts become a courageous community. Thus, the performance combines learning fun with imaginative entertainment.
Theater tent with family-friendly amenities
The theater tent is located on the fortress plateau of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress. A rising grandstand ensures good visibility of the stage, while numbered and cushioned seats offer comfort. The theater tent is designed to be accessible and has ground-level wheelchair spaces in the front row, a hearing assistance system, a spacious foyer, audience catering, a guarded cloakroom, and sanitary facilities.
For getting there, the Koblenz Theater recommends the shuttle bus or the cable car, as parking is limited. Families thus enjoy a relaxed start to their shared theater afternoon.
Educational value: Together we are strong
The four animals show children in an understandable way how important respect, helpfulness, and collective action are. The encounter with the characters supports emotional development, stimulates conversations about being different, and makes social values immediately tangible. Theater becomes a sensory learning experience filled with wonder, excitement, and a sense of community.
A special afternoon for the whole family
As the journey to Bremen begins in the theater tent, a lively family experience filled with imagination, curiosity, and plenty of room for shared excitement unfolds. Parents and children discover the fairy tale from a new perspective and take home a timeless message: Togetherness makes us strong.
Conclusion: Families can expect a heartwarming, age-appropriate theater experience about courage, friendship, and community. Those who want to experience The Bremen Town Musicians live will find a special place for shared time and children's laughter in the theater tent in Koblenz.
