The Waterworks Oberwerth parkrun brings running enthusiasts in Koblenz together for a communal 5-kilometer run. The Oberwerth peninsula is where athletic challenges, fresh morning air, and an open running community meet.

Five kilometers with stadium atmosphere

The route combines movement and community. Instead of tactical formation on the field, one's own pace counts here: runners exert their strength, find their rhythm, and push through the final meters with the tension of the playing field. There are no fan chants, but cheers, crowd noise, and the energy of the group create a motivating stadium atmosphere.

For ambitious runners and beginners

The parkrun is understood as a free 5-kilometer run on Saturday mornings, organized by volunteer teams. The focus is not only on personal bests but also on regular movement, encounters, and a shared start to the day. Those who pace themselves wisely on the asphalt and schedule their own pace will experience the run as a sporting test with a strong sense of community.

Oberwerth as a running backdrop

The Waterworks Oberwerth is located in the eponymous district of Koblenz. The historical surroundings by the Rhine give the run a special backdrop between water, green spaces, and urban proximity.
