The story of courage, friendship, and the search for the True Fire receives its full theatrical power here – with familiar melodies, imaginative imagery, and a theatrical atmosphere that draws both children and adults immediately into the action. The magic of the Tabaluga myth

Since the 1980s, Tabaluga has been one of the most influential German musical fairy tales. Born from the collaboration of Peter Maffay, Rolf Zuckowski, and Gregor Rottschalk, the story of the little dragon has long become a cultural icon bridging rock, musical, and children's storytelling. The interplay of fire and ice, with threat and safety, has generated strong audience reactions and a loyal fan base for decades. Reliable sources describe the piece as a fairy-tale family adaptation with an emotional core: Tabaluga is to find the True Fire, encounters Arktos, Tarantula, and finally Lilli – and discovers love as a force greater than fear. Stage design, costumes, and musical memories

The appeal of this musical lies particularly in the production. The Koblenz announcement speaks of loving costumes and innovative stage designs that bring Tabaluga's world to life. Previous reviews praised the technical imagination, which integrates snow machines, spark fountains, stage fog, and lighting effects into a child-friendly overall space. This creates a sensual interplay of warmth and cold, color and ice, musical nostalgia, and direct closeness to the stage in the theater atmosphere. For families, musical fans, and all with a sense of wonder

Tabaluga and Lilli is explicitly aimed at families and everyone who wants to rediscover the child within themselves. The musical template features well-known hits by Peter Maffay, and this familiarity adds a special charm to the evening: A stage experience filled with excitement, sing-alongs, and the gentle magic of a fairy tale that has never grown old. The reception in recent years shows a recurring pattern: The audience responds with palpable enthusiasm to the blend of clear storytelling, strong imagery, and catchy songs.
