A choir musical that brings Christmas to life in Koblenz

With the Christmas musical Bethlehem, a grand stage experience will come to the EPG ARENA Koblenz on December 20, 2026. The piece combines a modern, semi-scenic musical dramaturgy with the power of a large choir, professional soloists, and a live band. The production focuses on an immediate theater atmosphere where music, light, and movement bring the Christmas story into the present. Between Peace, Choral Might, and Musical Power

At the center is not only the well-known story but its emotional intensification: Peace, hope, and community are translated into powerful sound images. The choir becomes, as the production history of Bethlehem shows, the key narrator of the staging. It is precisely this massiveness that gives the evening its pull: collective voice instead of detached observation, goosebumps instead of Christmas clichés. A Staging with a Clear Stance

The announced imagery works with contrasts: rock, rebellious, yet poetic and festive. The piece connects to the strong tradition of modern choir musicals without losing its sacred core. This is where the dramatic tension lies: A popular music theater format conveys an ancient message that resonates in the here and now.
