In the foyer of the theater tent in Koblenz, Jacques Offenbach takes the audience on an extraordinary journey through the creation of his fantastic opera Hoffmann's Tales on October 20, 2026. The approximately 20-minute VR introduction begins at 5:30 PM and combines music theater, opera history, and digital stage performance.
When the Composer Becomes the Host

Opera Magic Meets Virtual Reality
The VR experience adds an immersive layer to the classic work introduction. Historical context, spatial sound, and digital staging merge into an unusual concert experience. Instead of just explaining the work, the production makes its motifs and creation history immediately tangible.
